Jennifer's signature style...

This is where it all began!  My first invention as an artist came from the creative challenge to use up-cycled materials in my work.  I love working with wood and I was searching for different ways to create an interesting grain without using exotic woods. Using woods from more sustainable sources, I began using eco-friendly dyes and creating a colorful "wood grain" using upcycled paper.  

The magazine pen comes with a wood base and magazine top.  The top is made with layers of magazine paper which is then shaped and hardened to a glossy durable finish.  Since the upcycled paper always has color and tone variants, each one is an original and cannot be replicated. The magnetic top gives a satisfying click whether it is attached to the back of the pen or when closing the top.  

This design offers either a roller ball refill or iridium fountain tip that can be used with a pump or standard bladder insert.

The magazine ring was created using the same process as the pens.  The layers of magazine paper are sealed to a hard durable finish over a stainless steel core.  Whole and half sizes available from 4-12.
